Stories from Families

Yesterday, in the first session, you made me rethink my lifestyle. It has encouraged me to live a better and healthier lifestyle. Last time, I usually tried to avoid conversations about this subject like it was a bad thing. Fortunately, you have changed my mind.

Taking time off to spend with your spouse is essential in marriage. Date night – with all its romance, fun, and focus on loving each other is important. I like the quote, “Husbands, never stop loving your wives. Wives, never stop flirting with your husbands!”.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my donation secure?

Yes, it is secure. We use the iPay88 Online Payment Gateway System, which is currently provided by many licensed Financial Institutions. iPay88 is notified as an Online Payment Switching Gateway by the Central Bank of Malaysia (Bank Negara Malaysia) under the Payment System Act in the year 2006.

Is my personal data protected?

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010, we are committed to protect the privacy of donors, supporters and other stakeholders. Personal data includes but is not limited to your name, telephone number, email address, home address as well as any information you have provided to Focus on the Family Malaysia in the past through forms or coupons filled out either online or in hard copy, online surveys, etc.

Can I stop my monthly pledge at any time and how?

Yes, you may stop your monthly pledge at any time. Please inform us by writing to focus@family.org.my. Please note that the processing by our iPay88 vendor may take up to seven (7) days.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Donations contributed to Focus on the Family Malaysia (FOFM) are not tax-deductible.

FOFM was set up as a not-for-profit private limited (Sdn. Bhd.) company in 1997 and operates fundamentally as a non-profit organisation with a clear vision to strengthen families. The FOFM Board of Directors provides direction and input on how funds are channelled to help families as well as to sustain the operations of this organisation.

What donation methods do you accept?

We accept donations through a variety of methods, including E-Wallets, bank transfers, and credit or debit cards. However, for those who wish to make monthly pledgers, we offer the convenience of bank transfers as well as credit or debit card transactions.

How can I get involved beyond donating?

In addition to making donations, we invite you to engage with us in several meaningful ways: you may choose to volunteer your time and skills, establish a partnership with us, or stay connected by following our activities and updates on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Why are we still charging for programmes if you receive donations?

As a not-for-profit organisation, we generate revenue not for profit but to advance our mission of "Helping Families Thrive." Our services are offered at nominal prices to ensure accessibility for a wider community. For instance, many of our counselling sessions are provided pro bono, and we request a suggested donation of RM70/session from those willing to pay.
