FAQs

Is the counselling free?

Our services are free of charge, but for clients who wish to donate, we recommend a sum of RM 100 per counselling session.

What are the counselling hours?

Counselling hours are from 9 am – 4 pm on weekdays.

Is my information protected?

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010, we are committed to protect the privacy of donors, supporters, counsellees, and other stakeholders. Personal data includes but is not limited to your name, telephone number, email address, home address as well as any information you have provided to Focus on the Family Malaysia in the past through forms or coupons filled out either online or in hard copy, online surveys, etc.

Can I attend counselling through Zoom?

Yes, you may opt for your counselling session to be conducted via Zoom.

How long will counselling take?

The first session will last an hour and a half, and subsequent sessions will be about an hour long.

Who is eligible for counselling?

Counselling services are available to Malaysians residing within the country. For minors under the age of 18, parental consent is required prior to participation in counselling sessions.
