The Partnerships role exists to develop and implement fundraising strategies to enhance and grow revenue, including donor engagement with current and prospective donors.

Principal Responsibilities

  1. Fundraising Strategies
  • Develop existing and new fundraising strategies that are supported by data analysis and research based on prevailing social and economic trends
  • Manage Ministry budget and execute relevant donor initiatives, including donor/fundraising events
  • Develop and organize annual and/or new fundraising campaigns, events, appeals, and activities that are well-defined in its objectives and target groups
  • Explore organisations’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives and identify opportunities that align with FOFM’s mission to create engagement

2.  Donor Relations Management

  • Design, document, and implement a systematic and integrated donor relations programme that nurture personal relationships with donors, including conducting donor visits, develop strategic donors into advocates, convert one-time donors into monthly donors and attract new donors 
  • Develop a donor profile 
  • Establish and manage information tracking process regarding acknowledgement, recognition, on-going communications and continued cultivation of past and current donors to enhance their relationship with FOFM and increase the likelihood of continued contributions

3. Administration

  • Submit monthly report outlining all fundraising strategies and donor engagements e.g. donor details, family life needs, stories etc 
  • Manage a comprehensive end-to-end engagement process so that donors consistently experience high-quality interactions
  • Maintain a comprehensive filing and retrieval system of correspondences with donors so that engagements are consistently based on the latest piece of information

Required Qualifications

  1. Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of three years working experience, preferably in a fundraising or marketing environment with demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and a proven track record of meeting targets

2. Languages

  • High proficiency in English, both verbal and written
  • Medium proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Chinese is desirable
