Resilient Kids: Raising Them To Embrace Life With Confidence

Resilient children can embrace life with confidence. Negative experiences don’t define them. They’re willing to take risks – and possibly fail. Therefore, they get a lot more out of life. Children who lack resilience give up, give in, blame and excuse rather than risk trying again. When they’re older, they can be afflicted with stress and depression.
For children to be resilient, they need to know the God of the Bible. When they do, they can have a strong faith in Him and not themselves. They can accept His will. But they need an accurate theology of challenges and suffering. And they need to be in relationship with genuine, authentic people they can be honest with.
